Lachlan Deer

Lachlan (: lachlandeer) is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Tilburg University, Co-Director of Content Development at Tilburg Science Hub and an instructor and lesson maintainer for the Carpentries Project. Prior to joining Tilburg University he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and completed his PhD in Economics at the University of Zurich in 2019. His substantive research interests lie in social media and it's impact on media and entertainment industries, and the role of social media networks in political revolutions. He is active in teaching reproducible software & coding workshops as well as promoting open science skills among researchers in business and economics. In his spare time he enjoys strumming his ukulele, improving his barista skills and building Lego models.
